Bruce Gordon Furniture Designs Over the past 12 years I have made furniture for friends and myself. I have decided to pursue selling my furniture more widely. In the past I have made floor lamps, couches, shelves, dressers, as well as garden furniture. The furniture shares many of the same construction techniques as my bicycle frames, but allows a refreshing change to making bikes all the time, and lets me experiment with different design ideas. Finish and attention to detail are the same as with my bike frames and racks. Pictured is a coffee table design I first made 11 years ago, and has become my signature piece, mainly because everyone seems to like it so much. The brass extensions pivot at full 360 degrees, and let you enlarge the tabletop area. It works great next to you favorite chair or couch and offers a place to put your drink of choice (alcoholic or not) or snack. The tables can be made in any size or height to fit your needs. They are powder coated in a choice of several colors and the pivoting extensions can be made in different materials, such as stainless steel, glass, or whatever. Also, the etched glass shelves (as pictured) can be had in clear glass, metal, or wood as an option. In addition ­ I will accept custom orders for almost any type of furnishings you desire. I can design it for you or work from your ideas. Like my bikes ­ my furniture will only be available direct from the factory (no pesky middleman), so you get more for your money.
