Although I have put a lot of thought into the parts specifications on my touring bikes, many people have expressed interest in different blend of parts. So, I am going to offer the option of substituting different parts from the standard group. There will be a small up-charge for changes. Any part that is currently available will be an option, such as Brooks saddles, Sugino cranks, fenders, different hubs, etc. Please give me a list of the changes you would like and I will get back in touch with you in a short time with pricing. About our TIG welded frames: I am also offering our Rock 'n Road, and BLT models as framesets without parts so you can outfit them with the parts you may already have. The BLT and BLT-X frameset (frame and fork - no parts) is $1000. The Rock 'n Road Tour and Tour-EX frameset (frame and fork - no parts) is $1350. I also offer custom dimension touring frames for heavy riders or nonstandard proportioned riders at an extra cost of $200. In addition I make custom TIG welded Racing, Commuting, Single-Speed, and Mountain bike frames. Custom Lugged Frames: Many people new to cycling are not aware that I make custom lugged frames. Actually, I made only lugged frames from 1974 until 1989 when I started building the TIG welded Rock 'n Road frames. Although, I never stopped making lugged frames, most of my production has been welded frames and racks. Bruce Gordon custom lug road racer featured in Playboy Magazine July 1982. Recently I have been promoting a very limited number of Custom Lugged frames. These frames are all custom silver-brazed, made to measure. The customer can choose from "Old School Materials" (the old stamped steel lugs and tubing I used in the 1970's), or modern investment cast lugs and more modern oversize tubing. Frames can be designed for racing, casual riding, commuting, track, or just about any type of riding. Production will be limited to 12 to 20 per year, because I'm getting old and don't work as fast.
